Most exterior rot isn’t noticed until someone presses on the wood and it’s soft. Stop the Rot Co. is a Vancouver company built around that problem. We don’t do general renovations. We find, remove and replace rotted exterior wood, and we fix the reason the water got in so it doesn’t happen again. Our jobs include decks, railings, posts, stairs, fascia, trim, windowsills, cedar siding and beams. For each one, we cut away the damaged wood, check what’s behind it, rebuild with the right lumber for the house (cedar to match heritage homes, treated lumber where it makes sense), treat every cut, flash and seal the joints, and quote any extra structural repair separately before we go further.
